Deductive reasoning was enough for District Judge James Owen to hold charges for further prosecution Wednesday against a Redbank Township man accused of fleeing from police and shooting at an officer.
“We don’t have anybody who placed you” behind the wheel, Owen told Tobias Wade Allen, 37, of Hillcrest Drive. “But we have tracking, we have wet clothing, we have following you from the crash site to where you were found.”
While those factors presented by Trooper Mike Kapustik during Allen’s preliminary hearing Wednesday were not “direct evidence,” Owen said, the judge was satisfied that they were sufficient enough to move the case to the Court of Common Pleas.
