Woman Seriously Injured in Route 36 Collision
FARMINGTON TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) – Marienville-based State Police say two people were injured in a two-car accident on State Route 36, east of Frills Corners Drive in Farmington Township, Clarion County.
Police say the accident happened around 11:10 a.m. on January 8 when 30-year-old Jessie R. Truitt of New Bethlehem was entering SR 36 in a 2005 Dodge Stratus from a parking lot at North Clarion School and failed to see 70-year-old Betty L. Snyder in a 1992 Chevrolet S-10 traveling southbound on SR 36 and pulled into her path.
The left front of Snyder’s vehicle struck the left front of Truitt’s vehicle, according to police.
Truitt suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Clarion Hospital.
Snyder suffered major injuries and was transported to UPMC Hamot.
Farmington Township Volunteer Fire Department, Farmington Ambulance, Clarion Hospital Ambulance, and Snyder’s Auto assisted a the scene.
