6-month-old Boy Assaulted in Washington Twp., Remains in Critical Condition

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Marienville say a 6-month-old boy remains in critical condition after he was assaulted during a Labor Day celebration in Washington Township, Clarion County.

Police say the incident happened during a holiday gathering on August 31 at a seasonal residence along Marble-Strobleton Road.

According to police, the victim sustained serious injuries to his head and chest.

He was taken to UPMC in Seneca by a private vehicle and then flown to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh.

The victim remains in critical condition, according to police.

Police did not release specific information on how the victim was injured, but listed the nature of the incident as an Aggravated Assault.

Authorities say the case remains under investigation.
