Clarion Hospital Now Offers Online Access to Health Information

hospitalCLARION, Pa. — “When was your last tetanus shot?” “What year did you have your gall bladder removed?” These are the kind of questions that doctors often ask, and patients can’t remember.

That is what makes Clarion Hospital’s patient portal so helpful. The patient portal makes accessing personal health information easy, secure, and convenient. It is now available to all patients of Clarion Hospital, from any computer with internet access.

Upon admission each patient will be given a highly-secure password, and the portal may then be accessed by logging into www.ClarionHospital.org and clicking the yellow “Patient Portal” tab on the right side of the screen.

“We hope that patients will see this as an opportunity to be more involved in their health care,” said James Confer, the hospital’s information officer. “They now have ownership of their lab results, medication lists, and so much more. They can more easily share this information with other providers to ensure all physicians are on the same page.”

Similar to how consumers monitor their bank accounts online, patients may now monitor their health with information like blood levels and routine screenings.
