KNOX TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police say a 34-year-old Leeper man is the prime suspect in an investigation into the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl.

Police say the alleged assault occurred at a residence in Knox Township, Clarion County, between July 10, 2013, and July 18, 2013.

According to police, the incident occurred when a known 34-year-old Leeper man allegedly had indecent contact with the victim while she was visiting relatives.

Indecent contact is defined as any touching of the sexual or other intimate parts of the person for the purpose of arousing or gratifying sexual desire, in any person.

A forensic interview was conducted as part of the investigation; however, no further details have been released.

Authorities have not released the name of the suspect, and charges have not been filed as of December 4, 2014.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
