Several Injured in Vehicle vs. Ambulance Crash on Route 66

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a two-vehicle accident along Route 66 late Saturday morning.

Clarion County 911 received a call around 11:15 a.m. for a report of a vehicle versus ambulance accident on Route 66 near the Interstate 80 overpass.

According to sources, one patient was in the ambulance at the time of the accident.

Initial reports indicate Clarion Hospital Ambulance and Shippenville Ambulance have been dispatched to the scene to provide medical assistance for a total of six patients involved in the accident.

Clarion-based State Police and Clarion Fire & Hose Company No. 1 have also been dispatched to the scene.
