Friends of Marienville Area Library exists to support our Library. The Marienville Area Library is a vital cultural and educational oasis in the wooded wonderland of Forest County. The Library gives back to youth. It gives back to businesses and residents. It provides a technology and wi-fi hotspot that is needed in our rural area. Library services are continually expanding hampered only by our physical limitations.
MISSION STATEMENT: The Friends supports the Library in its mission to provide materials and services to help community residents obtain information meeting their personal, educational, and professional needs. Emphasis is placed on supporting students and stimulating young people’s interest and appreciation for reading and learning.
BIGGEST NEED: A new library building is urgently needed for both programmatic and structural reasons. Since 2015 the Library and the Friends have been dedicated to raising necessary funds.
YEAR ESTABLISHED: The Library and the Friends were both established in 1969.
