“There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and Republican talking points.”

Anyone who actually believes Glenn Thompson, Pat Toomey, and Donald Trump when they say they care about the needs of working and middle-class Americans owes it to themselves to turn off Fox News and examine the facts.

The Republican tax scam, recently passed in the Senate, delivers a 1.5 trillion dollar tax giveaway to large corporations and wealthy Americans. This theft of taxpayer dollars gets paid for on the backs of the 87 million working and middle-class Americans who will see their taxes go up and the 13 million citizens who will lose their healthcare coverage. Republicans who habitually scream bloody murder about “budget deficits” when Social Security, Medicare, education or affordable housing are at issue have suddenly become mute. Inexplicably, Republicans seem to be perfectly fine with ballooning our national debt by 1.5 trillion dollars just so long as the money goes to donors such as Sheldon Adelson, Charles and David Koch, and Robert Mercer. Sen. Lindsay Graham (R-S.C.) openly admitted that the GOP is trying to ram through massive tax cuts for the rich to satisfy its wealthy donors saying that if they don’t, “the financial contributions will stop.”

Call Rep. Glenn Thompson (202-225-5121 or 814-353-0215), Rep. Bill Shuster (D.C. 202-225-2431 or 814-696-6318) and Sen. Pat Toomey (D.C. 202-224-4254, or 717-782-3951) and tell them to stop stealing money from hardworking Americans to pay off their wealthy donors. And tell them to please stop calling it “tax reform.”
