Clarion Cracker Barrel Rumors Laid to Rest

microtel-1MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Continuing rumors of a Cracker Barrel restaurant being planned in Monroe Township have been squashed by management at Trinity Point.

Trinity Point, a 120-acre mixed-use park in Monroe Township located near Interstate 80 Exit 62, continues to develop new projects to join Microtel Inn and Suites, Tractor Supply Co., The Barnes Center at Clarion University, Primary Health Network, and LIFE NW.

Cracker Barrel will not be one of those new projects; however, Pinnacle Resource Management Inc., the business consulting company that manages the development of Trinity Point, has one project that could involve an establishment that serves alcohol.

Miranda Spessard, Business Manager for Pinnacle, said the company isn’t ready to go on record about he project.

“At this time, all I can say is that we’re working on something,” said Spessard. “We don’t have anything finalized yet, and we don’t have anything firm at this point.”

A building pad was constructed adjacent to the Microtel at Trinity Point to attract a family-style restaurant.

“Cracker Barrel was one that he (Pinnacle President Tim Reddinger) was working on in the past, and there actually was a letter of intent. That’s why the restaurant pad was built there to the specifications of Cracker Barrel, but that all fell through for a number of different reasons.  I can say it’s not Cracker Barrel, but we’re working on different things right now.”

Pinnacle did purchase an alcohol license from the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board last year at an auction.  Pinnacle paid $57,700.00 for the license which was transferred from a Beaver Township entity.

The license could be used to help attract a restaurant to Trinity Point.

Pinnacle also specializes in project management including coordinating permits, site development; architecture and engineering oversight; and identifying financing options.

Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Clarion is owned by NPD Enterterpise-1, LP.

Although the Park Inn by Radisson is changing its name to Ramada by Wyndham Clarion it is connected to the Clarion Microtel.

Spessard said all Wyndham properties are separately owned franchises.
