YMCA Back-to-School Bash Planned for Wednesday

Happy schoolchildrenCLARION, Pa. – The Clarion County YMCA is offering teens in grades six through eight a free night at the YMCA on Wednesday, September 11, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The “Back-to-School Bash” is a night for teens/pre-teens in grades six through eight to come together and enjoy the new YMCA located at 499 Mayfield Road in Clarion.

The evening will include use of the gym, swimming pool, and game room.  Teens who attend will receive free pizza and drinks and a chance to win several door prizes including a Fitbit Versa Lite Smart Watch and 20 gift cards to various stores and restaurants.

Youth who are members or who join the YMCA on September 11 will receive an extra entry to win the Fitbit when they scan their membership card.  The first 25 teens through the door will receive a free back-to-school gift bag of goodies courtesy of the YMCA.

Parents may drop off youth for the event.  YMCA building monitors and staff will be on hand to supervise all activities.

The Clarion County YMCA is a branch of the Scenic Rivers Association, which includes the Oil City YMCA, Clarion County YMCA, Younger Days Child Care, and Camp Coffman.


The Clarion County YMCA hours are Weekdays 5:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Saturdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; and Sundays from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm until after Labor Day.  Sunday hours will resume on September 8.  The Y will be open each Sunday from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.
