Featured Local Job: Maintenance Technician
Carpenter Technology, formerly Latrobe Specialty Metals of 1680 Debence Drive, Franklin, Pa, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician.
Starting rate $38/hr.
Duties: Perform repairs, maintenance, installations, adjustments, and modifications to all types of electrical, mechanical, and electronic industrial equipment. Trouble shoot and problem solve issues with manufacturing machines, systems, and other equipment.
Education: High School Diploma required. Technical Training/Associate Degree preferred with electrical focus. Two years industrial job experience in the maintenance of plant equipment.
Preferred Skills: Working knowledge of and hands on experience with programmable controllers, personal computers, AC and DC drive systems, control and measuring devices, hydraulics, pneumatics, and perform light fabrication using welders and cutting tools. Must be willing to work from heights.
Qualifications will be confirmed by electrical and mechanical testing. Must be able to work rotating shifts, including weekends and overtime.
