Local Man Involved in Two-Vehicle Crash on Route 28

PINE CREEK TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A local man was involved in a crash at an intersection on Route 28 in Pine Creek Township.

According to PSP Punxsutawney, the crash took place at 6:46 a.m. on Thursday, March 14, on State Route 28, at its intersection with the I-80 off-ramp.

Police say a 2011 Ford F-150 driven by 22-year-old Robert T. Wolbert, of Lucinda, and a 2007 Pontiac G5 operated by 43-year-old Clifford L. Deemer, of Brookville, were both stopped on the off-ramp.

As Deemer began to move forward, he was unable to clear the intersection, causing his vehicle to stop again. Wolbert failed to observe Deemer’s vehicle stopped and sideswiped its driver’s side.

After impact, both vehicles were able to move off the roadway.

Deemer’s vehicle was disabled from the crash and was towed from the scene by McPherson Towing.

Neither driver was injured, and they were both using seat belts.

According to police, Wolbert was charged with a traffic violation.
