ELDRED TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Three people were injured in a rollover crash along Route 36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County earlier today.

Marienville-based State Police say the accident happened around 11:59 a.m. when 38-year-old Erin L. Buchanan, of Grove City, lost control of her 2010 Chevrolet Equinox while traveling south on Route 36 near Van Steenberg Lane.

Police say Ms. Buchanan was attempting to negotiate a right curve in the roadway when she lost control of the vehicle.

The vehicle began to rotate in a clockwise direction and traveled off the right side of the roadway before crashing into a ditch and rolling over.

It then collided with a large rock, police say.

Ms. Buchanan and 39-year-old Matthew Buchanan, of Grove City, sustained minor injuries.

A 10-year-old female passenger in the vehicle was transported to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh for treatment of moderate injuries.

Another passenger in the vehicle, a 13-year-old male, was not injured in the crash.

All occupants were wearing seat belts.

Ms. Buchanan was cited for speeding.
