CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – A Winter Weather Advisory has been issued for Clarion County and the surrounding areas.

The following statement was released by the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh on Feb. 26, 2013 at 6:24 p.m.:

…WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST WEDNESDAY…

* ICE ACCUMULATIONS…LESS THAN A TENTH OF AN INCH.
* PERIOD OF MOST INTENSE ICE…THROUGH 10 PM.
* ICE ENDING…THIS EVENING.
* IMPACTS…HAZARDOUS TRAVEL CONDITIONS ARE EXPECTED DUE TO ICE COVERED ROADS. SIDEWALKS CAN BECOME SLICK.
* WINDS…EAST 20 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 40 MPH.
