ELDRED TWP., Pa. (EYT) – A 21-year-old man was assaulted following a dispute involving prescription drugs on Thursday afternoon.

State police in Marienville tell exploreClarion.com that 21-year-old Mitchell Pisarcik, of Dubois, was assaulted by three Brookville residents after he allegedly received $100 from 19-year-old Devan Knapp, of Brookville, to buy prescription drugs.

Police said when Pisarcik failed to produce the drugs, Ms. Knapp along with Joshua Mears, 28, and Clay Hindman, 19, both of Brookville, drove Pisarcik to a field near the intersection of SR-36 and Osborne Rd., Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

Police said that Mears and Hindman then allegedly proceeded to assault Pisarcik with a pipe and/or baseball bat.

Mears was later taken to Brookville Hospital for treatment of a fractured orbital and several contusion on his body.

All three of the accused were placed in Jefferson County Jail on charges of Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, and Criminal Conspiracy.
