Motorcycle Collides with Car in Jefferson County

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — According to Punxsutawney-based state police, a motorcycle crashed into a car in Rose Township, Jefferson County, Pa.

Police say around 4:00 p.m. on October 9, 2012, 56-year-old Steven E. McPherson of Brookville, Pa., and 31-year-old Audrey L. Bonneau of Hastings, Pa., were involved in a two-vehicle accident on Route 36, south of Hayes Road.

According to police, McPherson, driving a 1998 Valkyrie Honda, and Bonneau, driving a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier, were both traveling north on State Route 36; Bonneau had slowed almost to a stop due to an oncoming school bus with amber lights flashing.

McPherson struck the rear of the Cavalier and was ejected from his motorcycle.

He was transported from the scene by Jefferson County EMS to Brookville Hospital.

He was wearing a full helmet and received moderate injuries.

Bonneau was wearing a seat belt and was not injured.

The Valkyrie Honda was towed from the scene by McPherson’s Auto.
