Police Investigating Camp Burglaries

MARIENVILLE, Pa. (EYT) – State police in Marienville are investigating burglaries at two local camps.

In the first incident, someone entered a camp on Fogel Farm Rd. in Harmony Twp., Forest County, sometime between 3/15/12 and 4/3/12 and removed 2 lanterns, a .22 caliber Savage rifle, and a digital compass. The victim is listed as a 58-year-old New Castle man.

In the second incident, someone entered a camp on Humming Bird Lane in Barnet Twp., Jefferson County, sometime on 4/7/12 and removed a DVD player, jack box, and wires. The actor allegedly entered two more unlocked cabins at the property and removed the same items. Police said the actor also removed tattoo equipment, an i-pod Touch, and a cell phone charger, from a third cabin. The victim is listed as a 58-year-old Cranberry Twp. man.
