TOBY TWP., Pa. (EYT) – State Police in Clarion say a Sligo man was injured Sunday in a one-vehicle crash in Toby Township, Clarion County.

The accident happened around 11:00 p.m. when 49-year-old Bobby G. Dunkle, of Parker, lost control of his vehicle while negotiating a turn on Bela Road near its intersection with Conner Road.

Police say Dunkle’s 1997 Dodge Neon slid on loose gravel on the roadway and crashed into an embankment.

A passenger in the vehicle — 38-year-old Calvin L. Beabout, Jr. of Sligo — suffered moderate injuries in the accident.

He was transported to Clarion Hospital for treatment.

Dunkle, who was not injured, was cited for failing to drive at a safe speed.
