Police Continuing Investigation of Alleged Slippery Rock University Rape Victim
BUTLER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to sources, authorities are continuing their investigation into a reported rape outside a Slippery Rock tavern over the weekend.

Butler-based State Police say they are re-interviewing the alleged 20-year-old victim mainly because of inconsistencies in her statement.

Additionally, police plan to interview other people involved in the case.

Sources say the victim is a student at Slippery Rock University.

Two Men Arrested for Heroin Possession
JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to sources, two men were arrested on Monday on drug charges in Punxsutawney.

Sources say a warrant was issued on a residence at 229 1/2 Pine Street, Punxsutawney, Pa.

Sources say 21-year-old Anthony Harris and 24-year-old Andre Dwayne Young (both of Pittsburgh) were charged after police seized 1 bag of heroin, assorted drug paraphernalia, a digital scale, and over $1400 in cash.

Both men are lodged in the Jefferson County Jail; bail was set at $50,000 straight for Harris and $100,000 for Young.

Serious Injuries Sustained in Domestic Dispute
INDIANA COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, a domestic dispute is under investigation involving men in Indiana County.

Police say 41-year-old Robert Kinnan, Jr., of Glen Campbell allegedly punched 29-year-old Ruston Kinnan of Summerville at a home in Banks Township.

Police say Ruston Kinnan fought back knocking Robert Kinnan to the floor.

According to sources, Robert Kinnan sustained serious injuries from the fight and was taken by ambulance to Indiana Hospital; then he was life flighted to Conemaugh Hospital.

Sources say Ruston Kinnan was taken into custody; he was charged with aggravated assault and other related offenses.

Sources say Robert Kinnan was charged with harassment.

Copper Thefts on the Rise
MERCER COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) – According to sources, at least 40 copper thefts have been reported in the last year in Mercer County.

Recently copper thieves are targeting vacant houses in Sharon, Pa.

Sources say on Friday in the 200 block of Jefferson Avenue, Sharon, Pa., the owner of a vacant house discovered someone broke in and stole all the copper pipe including the water meter; there was two feet of standing water in the basement, and the water company had to shut off service.

The theft occurred sometime in the last month.

According to police, on Saturday a theft was reported in the 100 block of Fourth Avenue, Sharon, Pa.; thieves broke in a side door to a vacant house, then they cut and removed a portion of copper pipe from the basement.

Police say that sometime over the weekend someone entered a basement window in a vacant house in the 400 block of Lincoln Street, Sharon, Pa., and cut several copper supply lines; water service had to be turned off to the building.
