Indiana — PennDOT has lifted the speed limit restrictions that were in place on Interstate 80 in Clarion and Jefferson Counties. The speed restriction remains in place in Clearfield, Clinton, and Centre Counties.

Due to the winter storm impacting the region, speed limits were reduced temporarily to 45 mph on Interstate 80 in Clarion and Jefferson counties.

Route 422 is closed in both directions in Indiana County between Nolo Road and Route 259 due to icy conditions.

PennDOT is continuing to treat roadways in the area and will continue until roads are clear.

Although PennDOT recommends not traveling during winter storms, motorists can check conditions on major roadways by visiting https://www.511PA.com>www.511PA.com.

The department also asks motorists to allow plenty of space when driving near plow trucks. Also, for their own safety and the safety of plow operators, motorists should never attempt to pass a truck while it is plowing or spreading winter materials.
