According to police, Hepburn was traveling south on SR 28 in a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt and left the southbound lane of travel and crossed over the northbound lanes, striking a 2013 Freightliner Casca driven by Yves.

Emanuelson saw the Freightliner’s brake lights and attempted to apply his brakes and slid uphill on the snow-covered roads in his 2008 Dodge Durango, striking the vehicle.

All drivers and a passenger in Emanuelson’s vehicle, 69-year-old Anna E. Emanuelson, of Chicora, were using seat belts and were not injured.
