Woman, Child Injured in Rt. 36 Crash

ELDRED TWP., Pa. – A 24-year-old Brookville woman and her daughter were injured in a one-vehicle accident on SR-36 in Eldred Township, Jefferson County yesterday afternoon.

State Police say the accident occurred around 3:05 p.m. when Amanda L. Bish, 24, of Brookville, lost control of her 1997 Chevrolet Venture traveled off the roadway.

Police say the vehicle struck an embankment and flipped onto its roof before coming to a rest in the northbound lane of SR-36.

Bish and her daughter were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Police say Bish was wearing a safety belt and her daughter was properly secured in a child safety seat.

Pine Creek Fire Department, Sigel Fire Department, and Brookville Ambulance assisted at the scene.
