Green Line Outlines Plant Plans in Shippenville

Green Line Polymers, Inc., a plastics recycling company, has selected Shippenville, PA for its newest plant.  Scheduled to open during the second quarter of 2013, the facility will procure, transport, process and qualify high-density polyethylene (HDPE) raw materials for use in other products.  When operating at full capacity, it will employ 60 people in various positions including transportation, logistics, production, and quality control.

“We selected the Shippenville, Clarion County location,” stated Marc Askew, Vice President of Procurement, Green Line Polymers, Inc., “due to the supply of post consumer and post industrial HDPE materials in the region. There is also the logistical benefit of being a few miles north of Interstate 80, a major east / west transportation lane.  In conclusion, the state of Pennsylvania has provided a tremendous level of support for this project and we appreciate their assistance.”

“By adding this plant to our other seven facilities, we’re further contributing to the sustainability of plastics, reducing the carbon footprint of resin manufacturing, and helping the environment through practical and efficient recycling practices.”

Green Line has plants in Bakersfield, CA; Cordele, GA; Waterloo, IA; Waverly, NY; Findlay and Pandora, OH; and Yoakum, TX.

“Throughout the United States, we obtain, evaluate and process post industrial and  post consumer HDPE, then test and qualify the materials for re-use,”  Askew explained.   “The demand for our recycled material is very strong, and we continue to see expanding markets for our qualified materials.”
