Frances A. Hetrick

Frances A. Hetrick, 78, of Summerville, died Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at DuBois Regional Medical Center.

Born May 4, 1932, in New Bethlehem, she was the daughter of Nicholas and Sophia Micholich Batina.
She married Ray Hetrick at St. Charles Catholic Church in New Bethlehem on May 4, 1957. He survives.
Mrs. Hetrick was a member of the Immaculate Conception Church in Brookville.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, yard work and spoiling her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, survivors include two daughters, Nancy Doolittle and her husband, James, of Erie, and Patricia Friel and her husband, Daniel, of Cambridge Springs; two sons, Edward Hetrick and his wife, Rebecca, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Michael Hetrick of Moline, Ill.; five sisters, Mary Maxwell of Brookville, Agnes Muia of Daytona Beach, Fla., Sophia Batina of Punxsutawney, Rose Batina of Punxsutawney, and Barbara Facemyer and her husband, Robert, of Canfield, Ohio; and two brothers, Nicholas Batina and his wife, Pat, of Cheektowaga, N.Y., and Joseph Batina and his wife, Elaine, of Warren, Ohio.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Paul and John Batina; and a sister, Anne Maietta.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, October 14, at the Furlong Funeral Home in Summerville.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2010, at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Bethel Lutheran Cemetery, Beaver Township, Jefferson County.

Memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice in Mrs. Hetrick’s memory.
