Lloyd R. Miller

Lloyd R. Miller, 90, of Mayport died Wednesday, Sept 12, at the Jefferson Manor in Brookville.

He was born July 9, 1922 in Redbank Twp. Clarion Co. the son of Walter R and Sara F. (Dinger) Miller. He was married to L. Jeanne (Miller) Miller on February 1, 1946, she survives.

Lloyd was a farmer who enjoyed dairy farming and his Holstein cows. He belonged to the Shannondale Grange #1865, the Clarion Venango County Holstein Club and the Pennsylvania Farm Bureau. he was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Shannondale.

Lloyd served his Country during WWII with the US Army Air Force, as an aviation cadet

He was survived by his wife Jeanne of Mayport, one son, Tim Miller and his wife Brenda, two daughters, Sheila Dougherty and husband Jim and Jane Miller all of Mayport , six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Clair Miller and his wife LaJean of Port Charlotte, FL., two sister in laws; Joan A. Miller of Brookville and Marilyn Miller of Lititz, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition of both parents, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Ann Miller Kline, and three brothers Kenneth, Harold and Jack Miller.

Visitation will be on Friday, Sept 14, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 at the Alcorn Funeral Home in Hawthorn. The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 15, at 11:00 am at the Zion Lutheran Church in Shannondale with Pastor Jim Steingass officiating. Interment will be in the Shannondale Union Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Zion Lutheran Church or Shannondale Union Cemetery.
