PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Golden Eagle track & field team kicked off action at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Friday evening, competing in the first handful events in the field and in the distance events.

Action will continue on Saturday with the remaining events.

Several of the longer-distance events were contested on Friday evening as well.
