UPDATE: Route 2008 Reopened in Jefferson County; Other Roads Remain Closed Amid Heavy Rainfall, Flood Warning

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Pa. (EYT) — State Route 2008 in Jefferson County has been reopened while several roads remain shut down after heavy rainfall that began on Tuesday evening wreaked havoc on area roadways.

PennDOT Community Relations Coordinator Tina Gibbs is advising motorists of the following weather-related road closures, as of 11:55 a.m. on April 4:

Armstrong

  • Route 66 between the intersection of Jefferson Street and First Street/Lincoln Street in Parks Township – closed with detour due to slide
  • Route 2036 (Upper Mateer Road/Rearicks Fording Road) between Iron Bridge Road and Garrett Road in Burrell Township
  • Route 2026 (Mill Hill Road) between Lime Plant Road/Ridge Road in Burrell Township and Girty Road in South Bend Township

Butler

  • Route 308 between the intersection of Cemetery Road and Deer Road in Marion Township
  • Route 1010 (Church Street/Hooker Road/South Street/Hallston Road) between Troutman Road and Seven Hills Road in Concord Township – closed due to trees down in wires.

Indiana

  • Route 2002 (Old William Penn Highway/Pine Ridge Road/Market Street) between Market Street in Blairsville and the county line.

Jefferson

  • None currently​
