Police Investigating Eldred Township Theft of $5k in Firearms

ELDRED TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say a burglary occurred on Jackson Road, in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

According to police sometime between 4:00 p.m. on June 5 and 5:30 p.m. on June 17, an unknown perpetrator(s) forced entry through the front door of a seasonal residence at the above described location. Once inside, the perpetrator(s) removed 13 long guns and assorted ammunition and supplies.

The total loss is estimated at $4980.00.

The victims are a known, 59-year-old man and a known, 52-year-old man, both of Freeport, Pa.

The investigation continues.
