Two Facing Felony Charges After ‘Numerous Marijuana Plants’ Discovered at Residence

PLUM TWP., Pa. (EYT) – Two area residents are facing felony drug charges in connection with an April 6 incident in Plum Township, Venango County.

According to a criminal complaint filed by Franklin-based State Police Trooper Seybert, charges were filed on June 17 against 40-year-old Timothy John Anthony and 39-year-old Venus Nikole Anthony, both residents of 1729 Meadville Road, Plum Township.

On April 6, Franklin-based State Police were assisting the Venango County Sheriff’s Office in the arrest of Timothy Anthony at the 1729 Meadville Road residence. The charges against Anthony were related to the violation of a Protection from Abuse Order.

While attempting to locate Anthony, “a distinct odor of marijuana was detected emanating” from a building on the property.

Timothy Anthony was located inside the residence and taken into custody. He was the only person occupying the property at the time.

Venus Nikole Anthony, who has a Protection from Abuse Order against Timothy Anthony, gave police consent to search the property for weapons, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.

Following a search of the property, police located numerous marijuana plants, drug paraphernalia, and equipment used to grow and cultivate marijuana.

Police also found four (4) firearms on the property. Through investigation, it was determined that Timothy Anthony is prohibited from possessing firearms.

Timothy John Anthony faces the following charges:

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Use/Possesion Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor
  • Possession Of Firearm Prohibited, Felony

The following charges were filed against Venus Nikole Anthony

  • Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Conspiracy — Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Felony
  • Use/Possesion Of Drug Paraphernalia, Misdemeanor

Both defendants face preliminary hearings on June 23 before Judge Fish.
