KULLINGFrank Albert Kulling, 98, a resident of 206 East Main Street, Titusville died peacefully at 8:25 AM, Saturday, August 20, 2016, in his home, with his loving wife and family members by his side.

He was born February 27, 1918 in Cornplanter Township, a beloved son of the late William A. and Martha Linser Kulling.

He was a 1935 graduate of Oil City High School and had attended two years of college.

He had proudly served his country during World War II as a member of the U.S. Army Air Corps where he attained rank of S/C, and was awarded the American Theater Medal and Victory Medal.

Following his discharge from active duty in the military, Mr. Kulling had worked as Manager of Human Relations with National Can Company and the former Foster Forbes Company in Oil City. He retired following more than 50 years of service. Always a hard worker throughout his life, he had also worked, as needed, at McGraw’s A-Plus and as a courier for the Titusville Area Hospital well into his senior years.

Mr. Kulling was a member of Christ Lutheran Church of Oil City.

He was a longtime former member of the Oil City Lion’s Club, the Tri-City Industrial Management Club and was past-president of the Oil City Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, he enjoyed collecting and the layout of his HO scale trains.

He was married September 9, 1983 in Titusville to the former Carol Rearick, who survives.

In addition to his wife of 33 years, he is survived by his children: Frank A. Kulling and wife Dorothy of Stillwater, OK, Joyce Latshaw and husband Edward of Cranberry, Dr. David L. Kulling and wife Joan of Clearfield, Jean Hughes and husband Mick of Summersville, WV, William Kulling and wife Ethie of Augusta, GA and Daniel T. Kulling and wife Cinnamon of Oil City.

Also surviving are his step-children: Jill Cutler and husband Sage of Harrodsburg, KY, Joanne Bean and husband Dennis of Pleasantville and Daniel R. Stoecklein of Four Seasons, MO; in addition to 24 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is his sister, Adeline Kay of Rocky Grove; in addition to many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Reed and by his brother, Elmer M. Kulling.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no public visitation.

Private interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Gardens in Cranberry with full military honors accorded by the V.E.T.S. Funeral Honor Guard of Franklin.
