Connie L Roydes, 73, of Franklin, passed away September, 5, at 11:32 p.m. at The Caring Place in Franklin.

Born September 30, 1942, in Franklin, Connie was the daughter of the late Clarence and Helen Martin Kelly. She was a graduate from Franklin High School. On September 13, 1969, she married Richard Roydes, who preceded her in death on October 5, 1992.

Connie retired in 2001, after working for 35 years at the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

Connie was a member at the First United Methodist Church in Franklin. She also enjoyed NASCAR and collecting dolls.

Connie is survived by her son, Jay Roydes, of Franklin; her grandson, Gary Graham, and great-grandson, Chase Graham, both of Franklin; her sister, Dorothy Brown and her husband, Robert “Ted”; her niece, Tammy Brown; as well as several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Russell “Paul” Kelly and Donald Kelly; and her sister, Lois Baker.

Family and friends will be received at the Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc., 1315 Chestnut Street, Franklin, Pa. on Thursday, September 8, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Funeral services for Connie will be held at Gardinier Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, September 9, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jeff Little, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association-300 Penn Center Blvd., Ste. 700, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15235-5507, and/or the charity of one’s choice.
