State Police Calls: DUI, Drug Possession, Theft

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

DUI/Drug Possession in Clarion Township

State Police say a DUI/drug possession incident occurred around 12:44 p.m. on August 13, along Route 68 in Clarion Township.

According to police, a 39-year-old Dallastown, Pa. man was stopped for a traffic violation and was subsequently taken into custody for possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence of a controlled substance.

Charges have been filed as of Friday morning.

DUI in Clarion Township

According to State Police, a DUI arrest was made around 2:20 p.m. on August 13, along Route 66 in Clarion Township.

Police say Mark Andrus, 33, of Clarion, was found to be driving under the influence. He was reportedly arrested and taken for a legal blood draw at Clarion Hospital.

Charges were filed at District Court 18-3-01.

Theft in Beaver Township

State Police say a theft occurred around 4 p.m. on September 2, in Beaver Township.

According to police, the known victim had written a check to the known person, but the check was not used in the way the victim had intended.
