Janet M. Chambers

Janet M. Chambers, 77, of Bridgeview Apartments, Emlenton, went to be with the Lord early Tuesday morning, September 13, 2016, at the VNA Inpatient Hospice in Butler.

Janet was born in Butler County near Boyers on March 25, 1939. She was the daughter of Wilford C. and Rosetta Stewart Chambers. She attended school in Parker, and was a long time member of Scrubgrass Stone Church in Emlenton. She enjoyed puzzles, painting, crafts, and visiting with family and friends.

She is survived by four siblings, Julia Grieff of Emlenton, Marilyn J. White, of Wilmington, N.C., James Chambers, and his wife, Ruth, of Alburn, MA, and Dianna Leya and her husband, Richard, of Wakeforest, N.C., as well as a number of nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Clayton, William, Wilford, Paul and Sam Chambers; a sister, Harriett Chambers, and three half-brothers, Don, Hugh and John Chambers.

Friends will be received at the Scrubgrass Stone Church, 258 Stone Church Road, Emlenton, from 10 — 11 a.m. Friday. A funeral service will follow from the church at 11 a.m. Friday with the Rev. Dennis Barger, church pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Eau Claire Cemetery.
