57def4a139b83James C. “Jim” Riddle, age 89, of Mercer Street Ext, Harrisville, passed away on September 17, 2016 at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.

Born on July 8, 1926 in Grove City, James was the son of the late Charles A. and Edna Cokain Riddle. James graduated from Grove City high school in 1944 and after graduation joined the United States Navy serving in World War II. He married his beloved wife, Doris “Dori” Bovard Riddle, on October 25, 1958; she survives and resides in Harrisville.

Jim loved watching football and baseball especially the Steelers and Pirates. He loved to hunt with his beagles as well as fish. He was a member of the National Rifle Association and American Legion Post #852. Jim was of the protestant faith.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his sister Charlene McCullough of Sharpsville, an aunt, Sophia Riddle of Wesley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Jim was preceded in death by two sons, Brian Riddle in January of this year, and Rodney Riddle in June of 2009. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles “Les”, Donald, and Lynn Riddle, and one sister, Mary Rose.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jamison Funeral Home, Inc., 117 N. Main St. Harrisville, where family and friends are welcome from 1pm to 3:45 pm on Wednesday, September 21, 2016. A service will be held at the funeral home at 4:00 PM with the Reverend Lester A. Rowan, Pastor at Wayside Community Church, officiating. Full Military Honors will be given by the V.E.T.S. Honor Guard.

Interment will be private
