CLARION, Pa. (EYT) – The Clarion County Library System will hold a “Cash Bash” on Friday, November 4, 2016.

The event will be held at the American Legion on Main St. in Clarion.

Proceeds will benefit the Summer Reading and Children’s Programs at the five public libraries in Clarion County.

Over 3,000 children from toddlers to teenagers participate in at least one early learning or reading program at the public libraries in Clarion County each year.

Jessica Jordan, President of the Clarion County Library System Board said, “Libraries help our children learn, prepare them for school, and provide the resources they need for success, but those programs are expensive and local government funding has been shrinking, so we need to fundraise.”

Doors open for the Cash Bash at 6 p.m., with drawings every 15 minutes for a variety of cash prizes, leading up to a grand prize of $1,000.

There will be additional drawings and games of chance throughout the evening.

The event will feature a buffet and beverages.

Tickets are $15 each and winners need not be present; however, those attending will have the option to purchase one additional chance to win for $7.00.

Tickets are also available at any public library in Clarion County.
