Alice-Gold-1479562386Alice P. Gold, 98, passed away at Oakwood Heights at 8:20 pm on Friday, November 18, 2016, where she had been resident for the past 7 years.

Born October 19, 1918 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Archie and Mary Amanda Sandrock Berlin.

Mrs. Gold worked at the railroad, Isaly’s and retired from General Telephone in 1984 after 24 years of service.

On February 28, 1948, she married Jack E. Gold, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2002.

She is survived by a daughter, Sandra Mamott and husband Raymond of Seneca; 3 sons, Jack A. Gold and wife Ann, Mark E. Gold and Jay F. Gold, all of Oil City.

Also surviving are a grandson, Brian S. Copley and Holly of McKean; a granddaughter, Chanelle McClelland and husband Mark of Franklin; four great grandchildren, Joshua Copley, Alex Sanders and husband Stephen, Lilly Rose McClelland and Urijah McClelland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Marion, Ralph, Dale and J. Delane Berlin; and 6 sisters, Margarite Davidson, Leota Benninger, Violet McCauley, Viola Spence, Twila Berlin and Carrie Stack.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 3 pm on Wednesday at the Morrison Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 3 pm Wednesday.

Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
