Shippenville Man Arrested Following Suspected DUI Hit and Run in Monroe Township

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a DUI hit and run crash occurred this morning on Interstate 80 westbound, at Exit 60 off ramp, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to police, a 2014 Ford F150 pickup — driven by 22-year-old Joey Christopher Reichard, of Shippenville — allegedly struck a 2011 Toyota Sienna Van in the rear as the vehicle was temporarily parked on the berm of the road.

Police say Reichard then allegedly fled the scene.

According to police, Reichard and the hit and run vehicle were located, and he was taken into custody.

Charges are pending toxicology results.

The Ford F150 had functional damage, police say.

The Toyota Van had disabling damage, according to police.

The victims were an adult male, an adult female, two male minors, and two female minors — all of Muncy, NY.

It is unknown is there were any injuries.

No other information was released.
