Lucas Andrew Shook, 22, of Curllsville, went to be with his Lord on Wednesday, December 14th, 2016.

He was born on May 25th, 1994 in Clarion, the son of Walter D and Nancy K Summerville Shook.

Lucas graduated from Clarion Area High School, where he was active in band, basketball, track, and golf.

He was currently a senior at Penn State DuBois majoring in Materials Engineering.

Lucas loved his dog, Remmington, and thoroughly enjoyed spending time with his friends. He had strong Christian faith, and loved the Lord. Lucas had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed practical jokes. He couldn’t get enough of the outdoors and loved activities, such as hunting and riding his dirt bike. He also enjoyed working with his hands and helping his dad for long hours in the shop.

Lucas and his girlfriend, Jennifer Burns of Knox, attended Grace EC Church in Ninevah.
He also attended the Curllsville Grace Community Church.

In addition to his parents, Lucas is survived by two sisters, Laura Barnes and her husband Matthew and their children, Cameron and Eric of SC and Lindsay Williams and her husband Craig and their children, Jackson and Makayla of Philadelphia, his paternal grandmother, Meriam Shook and several special aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Claud and Katherine Summerville, and paternal grandfather, Clarence E. Shook.

Family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2016 and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016 at the Robert V. Burns Funeral Home in Clarion and also from noon to 1 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at the Curllsville Grace Community Church with Funeral Services to be held at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dan George, pastor presiding.

Interment will be in the Churchville Cemetery.
