WINSLOW TOWNSHIP, Pa. – A Reynoldsville man allegedly tried to stab two men who attempted to assist him following a motor vehicle crash Sunday night in Winslow Township, Jefferson County.
DuBois-based State Police say 32-year-old Jordan M. Bogacki of Reynoldsville, was traveling west on Wayne Road when he failed to negotiate a left turn.
Bogacki’s Mazda 3 veered off the north side of the roadway and crashed into an embankment and multiple tree stumps.
Following the crash, a 71-year-old Reynoldsville man and a 29-year-old DuBois man attempted to help Bogacki.
That’s when Bogacki allegedly became combative and attempted to stab them with a knife.
He also allegedly threatened to kill both men while holding the knife, according to state police.
Bogacki then fled on foot but was taken into custody a short time later.
He also allegedly damaged a state police patrol vehicle while in custody.
Bogacki faces charges of aggravated assault, simple assault, terroristic threats, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, criminal trespass, criminal mischief, DUI and multiple traffic violations.
Bogacki was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $25,000 straight bail.
