Knox Man Crashes Truck Into Mailbox, Flees Scene

SALEM TOWNSHIP, Pa. (EYT) — A Knox man was cited after an accident March 3 on Nickleville Road in Salem Township, Clarion County.

According to Clarion-based State Police, 37-year-old Brad Cotherman was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 north on Nickleville Road when he crossed both lanes, left the road and hit a “cut-off utility pole” that was being used for a mailbox post.

Cotherman also hit a 4×4 post with his truck, breaking it. He fled the scene and the property owners reported the accident the next morning.

A mailbox and newspaper box were also damaged.

It is not known if Cotherman was wearing a seatbelt.

He was cited for driving on the wrong side of the road.
