Kifer Back in Running for Mayor; Plans to Build Wall Between Rimersburg and Sligo

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (EYT) — Dustin ‘Crowbar’ Kifer is once again back in the running for the prized position of Rimersburg Mayor.

Kifer, who is well-known by locals as the biggest Adele fan in Rimersburg, announced his 2017 bid in an exclusive interview Friday with exploreRimersburg.com’s Daniel Pesina.

Kifer said the main focus of the campaign will be to erect a wall between Rimersburg and the neighboring borough of Sligo.

“It’s going to be a yuge erection,” said Kifer in reference to the wall.

“I will build a great, great wall on our border, and I will make Sligo pay for that wall,“ said Kifer. “It’s going to a tremendous, great, great, great, great, great, great big wall.”

“You’re going to love it.”

Calls to Sligo Mayor Suzie Wyant were not immediately returned.

In a surprise move, Kifer announced that bitter rival Chris Rossetti would serve as campaign manager.

It was a heart-warming moment when Kifer phoned Rossetti during the interview.

“Hello from the other side,” said Kifer to Rossetti. “I must have called a thousand times to tell you I’m sorry for everything that I’ve done, but when I call you never seemed to be home.”

“At least I can say that I’ve tried, to tell you I’m sorry.”

Kifer then paused and exclaimed, “Together we will Make Rimersburg Great Again.”

Kifer’s 2017 campaign will kick off on April 1 with a meet-and-greet at campaign headquarters, located in his basement.
