Intoxicated Clarion Woman Arrested for Punching, Spitting on Man at Monroe Twp. Restaurant

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — A 50-year-old Clarion woman remains behind bars on charges related to a March 31 incident in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

According to a report issued by Clarion-based State Police Trooper Rowe, 50-year-old Melissa A. Schill, of Clarion, entered Applebee’s in Monroe Township around 10:38 p.m. and began screaming obscenities.

When Schill was asked to leave, she allegedly proceeded to spit on and punch a 42-year-old Clarion man.

She then fled the scene on foot and was later located near Walmart, according to police.

“Schill appeared to be extremely intoxicated,” said Tpr. Rowe in the report.

She was arraigned on March 31 before Magisterial District Judge Timothy P. Schill on the following charges:

  • Disorderly Conduct Engage in Fighting, Misdemeanor 3
  • Disorderly Conduct Obscene Language/Gesture, Misdemeanor 3
  • Harassment — Subject Other to Physical Contact, Summary
  • Disorderly Conduct-Unreasonable Noise, Summary
  • Public Drunkenness And Similar Misconduct, Summary

Schill remains lodged in the Clarion County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 cash bail.

A preliminary hearing is set for April 11 at 11:15 a.m. with Judge Schill presiding.
