Brookville Woman Accused of Producing Child Porn Involving Sexual Abuse of Toddlers

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A 29-year-old Brookville woman is facing child rape and several other charges after she allegedly produced and disseminated video and images depicting the sexual abuse of two toddlers.

The investigation was initiated after the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force (ICAC) informed the Pennsylvania State Police of a child pornography arrest in Texas that uncovered explicit video and images of two toddlers. ICAC determined that the video and images originated in the Brookville area.

Further investigation by Punxsutawney-based State Police, Marienville-based State Police, Dubois-based State Police, and the Northwest Computer Crime Unit revealed that the videos and images derived from a residence in Eldred Township, Jefferson County.

It was determined that the videos were produced and disseminated by Christine Lorraine Nichols, 29, of Brookville.

Nichols is facing charges that include but are not limited to:

– Rape of child;
– Involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with child
– Sexual abuse of children
– Criminal use of communication facility
– Corruption of minors
– Indecent assault
– Statutory sexual assault

She was located in Marienville and taken into custody.

Nichols was lodged in the Jefferson County Jail in lieu of $100,000 straight bail.

Jefferson County CYS responded to the scene and assured the safety of all children involved, according to a release issued Sunday by Punxsutawney-based State Police Tpr. Derek Weaver.

Additional details will be provided as they become available.
