John Michael “Mike” Marshall

John Michael “Mike” Marshall, 59, of Perryville, Parker, Pa. passed away Wednesday afternoon (06-07-17) at UPMC-Shadyside in Pittsburgh following a brief illness.

Born in Butler, Pa. on Nov. 25, 1957, he was the son of Nancy Fisher Marshall with whom he resided at Perryville, and the late John I. Marshall.

He was Catholic by faith, and was a graduate of Allegheny-Clarion Valley School District

Mike was employed over twenty five years with Gardenscape of Emlenton where he was a dispatcher at the time of his passing.

He was avid sports fan of all the Pittsburgh sports teams as well as NASCAR.

Mike was an honorable discharged U. S. Navy veteran serving with the SeaBees. Discharged in 1982, he held rank of E-5.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by one sister: Beth (Brian) Sullivan of St. Petersburg, Pa.; two brothers: Walter D. (Cindy) Marshall of Emlenton and Scott T. (Jodi) Marshall of Parker; two nephews: Doug (Kylie) Marshall of New Orleans and Cody (Angie) Marshall of Washington state; three nieces: Kacey (Ben) Owens of Erie, Nicole Marshall and companion Shane, and Kristina Marshall and companion Earl of the local area; also three great-nieces and nephew: James and Christian Marshall and Talia Owens.

Friends may call 5:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So. Wayne Ave., Parker where funeral service will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 PM.

Members of VFW and American Legion of Parker will conduct memorial service at 1:45 PM Sunday at funeral home.
