Margaret Lohr Maynard, 98, of Oil City passed away June 9, 2017.

Born Nov. 25, 1918 in Clarion County, She was the daughter of the late Aaron & Idella Geisel Lohr.

Margaret was a 1935 graduate of Ashland High School.

She enjoyed gardening, needlework and reading.

Margaret visited Arizona every winter where she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She is survived by four children, James Maynard & his wife Evelyn of Scottsdale, AZ and Erie, PA., Keith Maynard & his wife Bonnie also of Scottsdale, AZ and Erie, PA., Carol Balot of Oil City, and Faith Kellogg & her husband Terry of Erie, PA.; Nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and 3 great great Grandchildren also survive.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred Stover and Gladys Pullease and by four brothers, Maurice Lohr, Kenneth Lohr, Willard Lohr, and Vernon Lohr.

There will be no visitation. A Private Memorial Service will be held for the family.

Interment will be in Heckathorn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
