Edward Glenn Foster, 63, of New Bethlehem (Putneyville), died Tuesday morning, June 27, 2017 at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born on March 16, 1954 in Kittanning, he was the son of the late Edward Paul and Erlene (Gould) Foster.

He was married on November 16, 1975 to Gladys Joyce (Ortz).

Edward drove coal truck for Williamson Trucking Company.

He enjoyed woodworking including making clocks and Vacation Bible School crafts. He also enjoyed driving his Jeep on the back roads.

He is survived by his wife of almost 42 years, Joyce Foster of Putneyville, two daughters, Becky Downs and her husband, Brian of Putneyville and Julie Grooms and her husband, Ross of Belknap, five grandchildren, Mia Daniel, Samantha Grooms, Sydney Grooms, Seth Downs, and Ethan Downs, and a sister, Krystal Penrose and her husband, Anthony of Blairsville.

His wish was to be cremated.

A private graveside service will be held at the family’s convenience.

Interment will be in the Concord Cemetery, Wayne Township, Armstrong County.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to the Richard Laube Cancer Center in Kittanning at 100 Nolte Drive, Kittanning, Pa. 16201.
