Norma Clair Schoch

spochNorma Clair Schoch, 80, of Glendale, MO, formerly of Oil City, died unexpectedly, Thursday, July 20, 2017 at UPMC Northwest in Seneca.

Born May 17, 1937 in Oil City, she was a daughter of the late Paul W. and Myrna C. Young Flinchbaugh.

Norma was a 1955 graduate of Oil City High School. She then obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Drama from Allegheny College in 1959. She then worked for a year at The Pittsburgh Playhouse.

On October 14, 1961, she was married in Second Presbyterian Church to David L Schoch, who survives. They moved to Seattle and finally to St. Louis MO with his employment. The last 11 years they spent visiting here for the summers.

Norma was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church in Oil City.

She enjoyed drama/acting, was a prolific reader and loved dogs.

In addition to her husband, surviving are three sons, David Andrew Schoch and wife Tami of St. Peters MO, Dr. Peter Matthew Schoch and wife Kimberly of Wildwood MO, and Stephen Paul Schoch and wife Kate of Glendale MO; 10 grandchildren, Jacob, Sarah, Emma, Jensen, Drew, Molly, Jenna, Leah, Caden and Luke; and one great grandson, Colton.

Also surviving is a brother, Dr. Robert Flinchbaugh and wife Sandra of Franklin.

Friend may call at the Morrison Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 4 pm.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11 am Monday.

Interment will be in Brandon Cemetery.
