Correction: Two Clarion Residents Injured in I-80 Crash, Scrubgrass Township

SCRUBGRASS TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police say a one vehicle accident occurred Wednesday night on Interstate 80 West, in Scrubgrass Township, Venango County.

According to Franklin-based State Police, around 7:31 p.m. on August 9, 51-year-old Kristina M. Knepp, of Summerville, was traveling east on I-80 approaching the exit of Emlenton Borough in a 2013 GMC Yukon SLT.

Police say Knepp became ill and passed out while traveling down the road. A passenger attempted to control the vehicle but was unable to do so. The vehicle then crossed the roadway, traversing across the median, and traveled across the westbound lane of travel. The vehicle then exited the roadway off the westbound ramp and into the embankment, thus coming to a final rest.

Knepp and three passengers — 53-year-old Lori L. Reynolds, of Summerville; 78-year-old Eileen E. Brunette, of Clarion; and 82-year-old Gerard A. Brunette, of Clarion — suffered injuries of unknown severity.

Emlenton Ambulance transferred all occupants to Clarion Hospital.

All occupants were using seat belts.
