Tionesta Man Allegedly Strikes Woman in Face, Jailed on Assault Charges

WASHINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Marienville-based State Police say an alleged assault occurred on Sunday night at a residence along State Route 208, in Washington Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 11:25 p.m. on September 3, 25-year-old Ryan M. Mills, of Tionesta, allegedly struck a known, 32-year-old Tionesta woman twice in the face causing injury to her nose, face, and neck.

The victim fled to a neighboring residence, and PSP Marienville were contacted to respond to the scene.

Police say Mills was taken into custody without incident.

Simple assault charges were filed against Mills at District Court 18-3-03.

Unable to post bail, Mills was lodged in the Clarion County Jail.

He was released on his own recognizance the following day.

No other information was released.
