s42734ca107924_7_2Rosalyn Jill Motter, age 76, of Marienville, died at Penn Highlands Brookville campus September 7, 2017.

Born May 22, 1941, in Marienville, she was the daughter of L. Wayne and Clara Walker Hilyer, one of their 11 children.

On July 15, 1962, she married William H. Motter, who died August 1999.

Jill graduated from Marienville High School. After graduation, she worked as a secretary for the Marienville Glass Container Corporation. Later she worked as a secretary for Cook Energy in Marienville and she was a bookkeeper for many local businesses.

Jill was a member of the Forest Chapter No. 482 Order of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by one son, Jeffrey Motter and his wife Donna of Tylersburg and twin daughters, Heidi Johnson and her husband Shawn of Tionesta and Tina Songer and her husband Shannon of Marienville. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Katherine Motter, Hali Songer and Logan Songer.

She is furthered survived by siblings Judy Amsler of Venus, Bob Hilyer of Marienville, Ken Hilyer of Hadley and Jim Hilyer of Dempseytown.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was proceeded in death by five sisters, Margaret Carter, Joan Antonucci, Carolyn Silvis, Phyllis Kahle and Patricia Gadley and one brother Wayne “Buck” Hilyer.

Visitation will be Sunday, September 10, 2017 from 12:30pm until 3:30pm followed by a service at Furlong Funeral Home 160 Cherry Street, Marienville. The Reverent Chuck Jack, presiding.

Grave side service and interment will be at North Forest Cemetery, Jenks Township, Forest County following the funeral service.

The family suggests memorial donations be made to the Marienville charity of one’s choice.
